Day 180

Day 180?! I can't believe its been that long!

Here at Squee Inc. we're in the midst of potty training one and switching the other to cloth diapers, needless to say it has been CRAZY here!

Onto running:
I went for my first post-injury run about a week ago, the run itself was fantastic. Have you ever been away from home for so long that you just miss your own bed? You miss the feel of your own sheets and the smells and sounds of your own home? Then when you finally come home it's everything you remembered and you feel whole and at peace? That's how I felt running next to the river with the birds chirping and the sun warming my neck. Sappy I know, but true.

On my first loop I had to remind myself to slow down, I kept getting excited that I was running again and going faster and faster! I timed my first mile, just to see how much time I had lost while I was injured... I looked down at my watch and...holy %^&$! I was sitting pretty at nine minutes! No freakin' way! I guess cross training while injured does help! Wow!

While stretching before my next loop it came to my attention that my ankle felt like someone had hit it with a crowbar. So I decided (much against my will) to call it for that day and head home to R.I.C.E.

Today I'm going for my second post-injury run...in the rain! I've never run in the rain but I have a feeling that 35 degrees+wind+rain+little pieces of hail=refreshing! (I am actually super excited!)

And here is your running song snack of the day:

Off to find a water-resistant top! Later lovies!
